Accessibility Statement
Signatures Media Ltd is committed to making its website signatures.com (the "Site") accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We aim to meet the requirements of the Equality Act 2010 by ensuring that our digital services are accessible and usable. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our Site in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.
Conformance status
This Site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partial conformance means that some parts of the content do not yet fully meet accessibility standards. We have completed an internal assessment and have addressed a number of issues identified, although further improvements are ongoing.
Measures taken
We have implemented a range of technical and design measures to improve accessibility including:
- Colour contrast meets or exceeds 4.5:1 for all body text and interactive elements against their backgrounds.
- All interactive elements have visible focus indicators when navigated by keyboard.
- A skip navigation link allows keyboard users to bypass the navigation bar and reach main content directly.
- The navigation is operable by keyboard, including a hamburger menu on mobile and tablet with Escape-key support.
- All decorative SVG icons are marked
aria-hidden="true". Non-decorative images are provided with alternative text. - The FAQ accordion uses
aria-expandedandaria-controlsto communicate state to assistive technologies. - The Site search dropdown implements the ARIA listbox pattern with
aria-activedescendantfor screen reader navigation. - All animations respect the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query. - The page language is declared (
lang="en") and each page has a unique, descriptive title. - Form inputs have explicitly associated
<label>elements.
Known limitations
We are working to address the following known limitations:
- Mobile navigation focus trap: When the mobile menu is open, keyboard focus is not fully trapped within the menu. A user pressing Tab repeatedly can move focus outside the open menu.
- Third-party content: The cookie consent manager (vanilla-cookieconsent) is a third-party component. While we have configured and styled it, we do not have full control over its accessibility and cannot guarantee full WCAG conformance.
- No formal independent audit: This assessment was conducted internally. A formal audit by a qualified accessibility specialist has not yet been completed, but we intend to carry one out as the Site develops.
