Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: June 2026

This Affiliate Disclosure explains how we use affiliate links on signatures.com (the "Site").

Short version: Some links on this Site are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission - at no extra cost to you. Our editorial content and recommendations are not influenced by affiliate relationships. Please read the full disclosure below for further details.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a tracked URL that tells a company's affiliate programme that a visitor came from our Site. If you sign up or make a purchase after clicking one, we receive a small commission from the company - not from you. The price you pay is identical to what you'd pay going directly. In this context, content that contains affiliate links may be considered commercial content. We make this clear so that you are aware of any commercial relationship before engaging with such content.

How we label affiliate content

We follow the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and CAP Code principle that advertising must be obviously identifiable. This means disclosures are presented clearly and prominently, and appear before or alongside affiliate links so that users are aware of the commercial relationship before engaging with the content. Where a page contains affiliate links, we make that clear prominently and before the relevant content - so you always know when a commercial relationship exists before you act on it. We use plain wording such as "Contains affiliate links", not unclear abbreviations.

Which pages contain affiliate links?

Affiliate links may appear primarily in content where we discuss, review or compare products or services - for example, pages comparing e-signature software such as DocuSign, Adobe Acrobat Sign, or Dropbox Sign. These pages are our honest assessments of each product. The presence of an affiliate relationship does not change our ratings, recommendations, or editorial conclusions.

How we maintain editorial independence

What happens to your data when you click

When you click an affiliate link you leave our Site and go to a third-party merchant or affiliate network, which will be subject to the privacy and cookie practices of the relevant third party, which acts as an independent controller. We encourage you to review their policies before providing any personal data. We do not set affiliate-tracking cookies on our own Site. For further information, see our Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy.

Regulatory compliance

This disclosure is made in line with the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) rules on affiliate and commercial content, which require that marketing communications are clearly identifiable as such, and the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements, for any readers in those jurisdictions.
