1. About these terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of signatures.com (the "Site") and any tools we provide, including the email signature generator. The Site is operated by Signatures Media Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17150339), registered address 17 Cabul Road, London, England, SW11 2PR ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
These Terms apply from the time you first access or use the Site and incorporate by reference our Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy and any other documents expressly referred to in them. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and those documents, these Terms will prevail.
2. Eligibility
You may use the Site only if you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract with us. If you use the Site on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf. If you do not meet these requirements, you must not use the Site.
3. Permitted use of the Site
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to access and use the Site for lawful purposes. You may link to our pages freely. You must not use the Site in any way that breaches our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
4. Intellectual property and content licence
Unless stated otherwise, all content on the Site - including text, graphics, layout, logos and the "signatures.com" name - is owned by or licensed to Signatures Media Ltd and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Our original editorial content is made available under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) licence unless a different licence is stated on the page. This means you may share our content with attribution for non-commercial purposes, but you may not sell it, modify it, or create derivative works from it without our written permission. Our trade marks, logos and other brand features may not be used without our written consent.
For the avoidance of doubt, unless otherwise stated, the Creative Commons licence applies only to our original editorial content and does not apply to third-party materials or to our trade marks, logos or other brand features.
5. The email signature generator
The signature generator lets you create an email signature in your browser. The text you enter is processed locally to produce signature code. If you upload an image (such as a photo or logo), it is stored on our servers and hosted at a public URL so that it can display inside your signature. Your use of this tool is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, including the warranties you give about images you upload. The tool is provided for your convenience and we do not guarantee that the output, including the generated signature, will display consistently across all environments.
You are responsible for verifying that any output generated is suitable for your intended use.
6. Affiliate links and commercial content
Some pages contain affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial assessments. Affiliate and commercial content is identified in line with applicable advertising rules. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
7. Third-party links
The Site links to third-party websites and services we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Your use of any third-party site is at your own risk and subject to that site's terms.
We do not accept any responsibility or liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of third-party websites.
8. Availability and changes to the Site
We aim to keep the Site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or withdraw all or part of the Site, and may update our content at any time. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable to you if the Site is unavailable at any time or for any period.
We may suspend or restrict access to the Site at our discretion where necessary for security, maintenance or to address misuse.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties or representations about the accuracy, completeness, reliability or fitness for a particular purpose of the content or tools. Any reliance you place on the content is at your own risk.
10. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so - this includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and any other liability that cannot be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.
Subject to that, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site or its content. In particular, we shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data, or loss of opportunity.
The Site is provided for general information only, and you are responsible for verifying that any content or output is suitable for your intended use.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights, which cannot be excluded by law.
11. Indemnity
If you use the Site in breach of these Terms (including by uploading content you are not entitled to upload), you may be responsible for, and reimburse us for, reasonable losses and costs we incur as a result, to the extent permitted by law. This provision applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law and does not affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date shows when. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to bring them to your attention.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction, and nothing prevents a consumer from bringing proceedings in the courts of the country where they live.
14. General
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the documents they reference, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site.
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation, provided this does not adversely affect your rights.
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay is due to events beyond our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to create, or shall be deemed to create, any partnership, joint venture or agency relationship between you and us.
A person who is not a party to these Terms shall not have any rights to enforce any of its terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
You acknowledge that you have not relied on any statement, representation or warranty that is not expressly set out in these Terms.
